Our client is a financial services organisation with a focus to transform the way they deliver excellence and innovation.    We currently have a need for a Senior Business Analyst with regulatory projects and/or credit risk experience to undergo a new and exciting piece of work around data gathering, analysis and technical documentation tasks.
The Senior Business Analyst  supports the developers with technical documentation, test cases and release documentation.   Task time is to be recorded in the JIRA task in order to improve the estimation process and to enable the Project Manager to assess the remaining effort.

Responsiblities include 

  • Working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems
  • Defining and managing the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs, including writing user stories and test cases
  • Providing and directing recommendations for process re-design and improvements and business solutions, enabling changes to processes, policy and/or information that supports Westpac to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value
  • Documenting the developer’s logic in business terminology in the required template in order to build up a knowledge repository (wiki) for the business to use.

Essential

  • 5-10+years of business process improvement/ re-engineering, data analysis, system functional and non-function analysis experience. For example:
  • Business Analyst lead in business process improvement initiatives.
  • Business Analyst team member in a major end-to-end business process re-engineering or business transformation initiative.
  • Business Analyst team member in major information technology delivery projects ensuring solution enables business processes.
  • Recent Financial industry experience
  • Credit Risk, Basel II, Basel III, regulatory projects
  • Compliance or regulatory project experience
  • Knowledge of SAS – the ability to read and understand Base SAS code and use it to document the knowledge base
  • Knowledge of SQL – the ability to read and understand SQL code and use it to document the knowledge base
