The Senior Technical BA is a critical role within the Digital Customer Product Development Team. It works closely with the Data Services Team, the business and Product Managers to develop and deliver digital products and services inc website, mobile apps, social media channels etc to their customers. It is responsible for the analysis and delivery across the development lifecycle inc delivery of functional and non-functional requirements, data requirements and process mapping database scoping to testing and release management. The role requires outstanding interpersonal skills inc a strong ability to communicate and influence effectively across the most senior levels of the organisation as well as externally with vendors & strong technical understanding of big data analysis, real-time data, data sources and systems integration.
Skills and experience required
Extensive and demonstrated experience leading/conducting analysis of business needs across a complex portfolio of digital initiatives in a federated or multi-sourced environment
Experience in solution development and proposals
End to end Business Analysis experience with software, web and mobile app development across the development lifecycle
Knowledge and experience in data handling, APIs, XML, JSON and systems integrations including real-time data
Strong experience in big data analysis - including real-time data, open data
Experience in data standards, mapping, database structures, data warehouse, data manipulation, data quality and rand data lifecycle management
Understanding of GIS principles and spatial systems
Strong experience with process mapping and visual presentation of data, workflow diagrams
Relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience with at least 8-10 years’ experience in business analysis.
