This new opportunity exists within a company that are wholly focused on operational excellence and end user experience, and are continually driving improvement and innovation of their services and internal processes / technology.
The company are experiencing a unique and positive period of transformation and investment around how security is managed and monitored across the organisation and now require a Senior Cyber Consultant to work in a new and growing cyber team responsible for monitoring, assessing and defending key information systems and application environments from internal and external threats. 
 
The Opportunity
The opportunity will see you step into a senior Cyber Security Specialist role and provide technical expertise across security event analysis, threat intelligence management, and and investigation support.
Utilising a toolset covering Vulnerability Scanners, Antivirus and EndPoint Protection, you will identify threats and incidents in a timely fashion and seek opportunities to achieve more efficient and effective responsive capabilities.
The role will see you act in a senior role where you will also contribute and develop security standards and processes specific to the organisation, ideally following NIST and ISO27001 frameworks and standards.
 
What we’re looking for in you:
  • 3+ years in an Information / Cyber Security focused operational role.
  • Strong technical knowledge around networking technologies, Firewall technologies, Web Application Firewall technologies, data leakage and anti-malware technologies.
  • Technical knowledge of infrastructure and application vulnerability assessment tools
  • Experience with SIEM tools, such as Splunk / Nagios / etc.....
  • Demonstrable experience of working in complex and diverse technology environments.
  • Knowledge and commercial experience with industry standards and processes.
  • You keep up-to-date with industry trends and issues in security and risk management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to influence and consult.
  • Strong focus on the customer and business needs.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in related field – Desirable.
  • Industry Qualifications (CISSP) – Highly Desirable.
