A rare opportunity exists for a successful and talented Account Executive (AE) to join a Tier One disruptive Tech vendor.  This important role will be the first dedicated AE on the ground in New Zealand as has previously been served remotely therefore we seek a high energy and experienced software (SW) sales executive who is highly accountable.
The AE will be responsible for driving sales revenues in the field and spear head sales initiatives in both originating new Customers and managing existing relationships.  Rigorous account planning and the ‘land and expand’ model within a specified territory within a market segment will be key tenants to planning and success.
The AE will represent the Customers within the assigned market segment within the geography, demonstrating relentless Customer Focus while managing all aspects of the sales process and customer relationship. This ranges from Account Planning, Lead Qualification, and Management through Negotiation and Closing and will play an integral role in the success of the overall ANZ sales team.  This role is a quota-carrying sales position which is highly accountable.
We require a self-starter who thrives in pitching a disruptive play and is accomplished at building a visionary statement who has represented a disruptive brand previously. Ideally you will have experience within the Data, analytics, databases or business intelligence space or at a minimum the adjacencies to Data to drive a true Data culture within your Customer. This is important to master the subject matter and get up to speed with the relevant business value selling principles rapidly. This pitch is mostly non-standard, there are often obstacles that can be overcome through creativity and adapting to the ever-changing world of Data and adding serious value to the Customers’ workplace.
To be considered for this important role you will need to have:
  • Strong field-based enterprise SW sales experience. Complex sales / solution is sales and extensive major deal experience.
  • Consistent over achievement of sales goals in a large and dispersed geographic territory.
  • Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in the disruptive play who can target the lines of business (LOB) and engage with the true CXO level.
  • You have worked within a start-up and an emerging Tech organisation, so You understand how to build and grow a successful business and leverage virtual resources to be successful
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful with great initiative to take action
  • Collaborative and team-based approach
  • Open Communication skills required as well as effective problem-solving capabilities to think on your feet
