Our client is a leading Australian insurer and employer of choice. They offer great work life balance and flexibility and are going through an exciting period of transformation and change.

They have an opportunity for an experienced senior financial analyst or finance business partner with a general insurance background to join their planning & performance team in an analytical role. Reporting into the head of planning and performance you will focus on:
  • Provide financial management advice and decision support to running the business and making sound business decisions
  • Building effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Deep dive analysis into the business drivers to provide commercial insights to the business
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovative thinking
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure timely, quality delivery of budgets and forecasts
  • Contribute to preparation presentations for delivery to key stakeholders
This will initially be a ten month fixed term contract as it is a newly created role following a change in the structure of the team but could become permanent. 

Required skills and experience:
  • Qualified CA/CPA/CIMA
  • Minimum 3 years PQE in a financial analysis, decision support or business partnering role
  • Exposure to General Insurance and a solid understanding of GI business drivers and accounting for GI
  • Strong excel modelling experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and experience
