The Role:
The role sits within the Public Policy and Technical Services Team under Business Risk & Regulatory Centre of Excellence, to provide first rate technical services to the Superannuation product suite.


The Responsibilities:

  • Analyse legislation and announcements from a process, product and systems perspective and contribute to making recommendations of appropriate courses of action.
  • Draft technical requirements documents, technical updates and education documents
  • Provide support to Product Development & Management across the business on all technical changes (both major systems and process enhancements and correction of technical errors in the systems and processes) to assist the Product team in driving through changes in a cost effective and efficient manner
  • Provide technical sign-offs on business requirements documents, processes and procedures, marketing material, product communications, PDSs and other legal documents
  • Provide support to the business to ensure that PDSs, and other client communication documents are technically accurate
  • Provide support to the business to ensure that business rules and procedures are technically accurate
  • Escalate any errors identified with current systems and procedures and provide technical support for rectification
  • Provide material (information/case studies/examples/ideas etc) and technical sign-off for marketing documents
  • Assist the Technical team in responding to Government and industry consultation on superannuation issues including contributing to submissions and responses to proposed legislative change
  • Present and conduct training to internal clients/staff on technical superannuation issues 
  • Adopt a compliance recognition culture to assist in ensuring compliance of systems and operating procedures
 
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in financial services and an understanding of Superannuation products and distributions
  • Ideally 3 years in a technical services role or similar
  • RG146 qualified
  • Excellent rapport building skills with senior stakholders
  • Ability to think and act strategically in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong business acumen with an agile approach
