We are looking for a Test Manager who will be responsible for managing the testing effort of IT Digital projects to ensure software meets specifications and requirements (both functional and non functional) and can be deployed safely into the production environment.
The role will start as an initial 6 months with the scope to extend beyond this term. Based in the Sydney CBD, you will be working within one of the country's leading retail brands.

of the role include:

  • Ensuring a Test Strategy is prepared, endorsed by the stakeholders, implemented and monitored;
  • Managing the development and execution of test scenarios and scripts and tracking/retesting of defects (willingness to be hands-on where necessary)
  • Managing the identification and establishment of appropriate tools, techniques and methods to test the solution;-
  • Managing all required test phases and activities including test environment preparation and refresh as required to ensure an efficient and seamless testing effort;
  • Managing all regression testing requirements;
  • Consulting with the Project and Portfolio Manager on test estimates and test resource requirements;
  • Sign-off of product quality prior to deployment to production environments. 
  • Communicating test progress and key issues to project stakeholders in conjunction with the Project Manager and - Portfolio Manager while following agreed communication guidelines;
  • Engaging with and mentoring Business Stakeholders and selected UAT representatives throughout the UAT preparation and execution process;

Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing testing on projects;
  • Strong test/project management skills;
  • Strong general IT experience (applications ) including systemic knowledge of IT development, operational and change management processes and methodologies;
  • Experience in managing teams of up to 10 personnel;
  • Experience in management of third party suppliers of application development, testing and maintenance services in a complex outsourcing environment.
  • Working knowledge of manual and automation testing best practices
  • Working knowledge of testing methodologies, processes and tools
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and their application
  • Experience with interfacing and XML
  • A deep understanding of the SDLC and testing API's

This role requires an early March start date so those with longer notice periods of 2 weeks unfortuantely cannot be considered.
