Our client is a leading Australian financial services group and market leader in their field. They are an employer of choice offering superb flexibility and work life balance and are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and transformation. 

The group currently have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner Manager or FP&A Manager to join the team initially on a 12 month contract basis.  Reporting into the Head of Finance you will lead a medium sized team of experienced, high calibre finance business partners in delivering all analysis, budgeting and forecasting and modelling activities for the business.  Specific deliverables will include:

  • Preparation, analysis, review and reporting of key performance drivers including monthly business unit reporting packs.
  • Influence and support business units in identifying and converting opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Build financial models and construct cost – benefit analysis, investment appraisals, business cases and associated metrics for new projects and business opportunities.
  • Ensure the team are the “Go to” area for financial support
  • Develop, Co-ordinate & management of the budgeting & forecasting timetable and process across the Group.
  • Managing the complete Group budgeting process
  • Manage, develop and maintain business forecasting models and provide updated information across the group.
  • Participation and contribution to strategy setting & development.
  • Ensure alignment of the budget and forecast to each business units’ strategy and overall group strategy.
  • Perform scenario analysis to determine likely impacts of changes in the key drivers and ad hoc what if scenarios.
  • Design and build financial models for analysis.
  • Ownership of all Finance P&L’s and performance reporting content and commentary across the Group.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
  • Deep finance business partnering experience 
  • 3 years experience in a leadership / team management level role
  • Experience within large complex financial services organisations
  • Highly experienced in building business cases and complex financial modelling
  • Previous experience in owning the overall budgeting and forecasting process for an organisation
