Role Overview
The 2nd Line Operational Risk and Compliance Assurance team is accountable for delivering the Annual Assurance plan.
In this role you will perform independent reviews and evaluations that will assist management in developing, maintaining, monitoring and enhancing Technology control frameworks and systems. 
  • Perform 2nd Line Assurance reviews.
  • Provide assurance opinion to the function and the business, liaising with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Embed a consultative approach to business, promoting risk awareness and controls improvement.
  • Prepare and draft reports to highlight control testing findings and provide a business opinion.
  • Implementing frameworks and conducting gap assessment of current IT and technology processes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly General Manager and Divisional Risk and Compliance Committee reports.
  • Coach, lead and mentor juniors with oversight of assurance activities when necessary.
Required Knowledge, Experience and Capabilities
  • A detailed understanding of MS Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • An understanding of Technology Infrastructure and Information Security.
  • Experienced in ITGC, change management, technology controls & application reports.
  • Exposure to testing automated system controls.
  • Facilitate meetings and present at business unit risk forums and committees. 
  • Experience of auditing automated business controls.
  • Professional assurance or IT audit experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
