The Role:

You will play a key role in enhancing the Bank's risk culture assessment capability and improving insights into risk culture. To drive a strong risk culture, you will assist in the development and implementation of frameworks, processes and initiatives that reflect current and emerging approaches to risk culture, whilst meeting regulatory requirements.

You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to develop group strategies, execute projects and provide advice on risk matters which not only give you a birds-eye view of the whole bank, but have an enterprise-wide impact as well. Your Responsbilities: 

  • Work with the Executive Manager & Senior Manager to undertake the Risk Culture Assessment to enhance and drive a consistent and comprehensive approach to this Program across the Group.
  • Play a key part in supporting the delivery of the risk culture assessment program, and associated programs of work, driving deeper insights into the Bank's risk culture.
  • Perform day to day operational risk review adhereing to regulatory requirements, refine methogoloeis and models where possible. 
  • Closely withing with Group Executives and GM level stakeholders, ensure that any risk culture assessment initiatives increase insight into risk culture and promote greater accountability.
  • Contribute to further developing, maintaining and continuously improving the risk culture assessment program, along with the supporting tools and guidance.
  • Provide Management and the Board with actionable information to create a strong risk culture.

Skill Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, or regulatory related field, preferably undertaking assessment review programs or leading projects.
  • Updated understanding of the regulatory landscape in which Tier-1 Australian Financial Institutions are operating.
  • Ideally have an organisational or behavioural psychology experience, but not essential.
  • Strong project and people leadership traits, with the passion to collaborate and influence.
  • Intermediate data analytics skill.
  • Previous experience working in regulatory bodies is highly desirable.
