Due to significant growth this multibillion dollar blue chip organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join their growing finance team. The role offers a suitably qualified individual the opportunity to take ownership for tax compliance and reporting across the Australian business as well as a chance to take part in a number of process improvement and automation projects.

Specific role responsibilities include:

  • Management of Direct (such as Corporate Income Tax) and all Indirect (such as FBT, Payroll, GST) tax matters for the organisation;
  • Preparing tax statements, financial statements and BAS statements at required intervals;
  • Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits;
  • Ensure the Head of Finance is aware of Tax exposure and impact from Asset disposals;
  • Providing tax advice to Head of Finance on all taxation matters;
  • Identifying areas to reduce tax exposure;
  • Assisting in financial planning;
  • Financial accounting, governance, audit and group related financial reporting, requiring a good understanding of financial control, partnerships and business acumen;

Suitable candidates will demonstrate thought leadership and subject matter expertise with a demonstrated ability in identifying process weaknesses and implementing process improvement.  You must ensure an excellent customer service ethic is demonstrated and through advanced interpersonal skills be able to effectively manage stakeholders and develop relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.



Specific experience includes:

  • Qualified CA / CPA
  • Minimum of 3+ years relevant tax reporting experience
  • Thorough understanding of the Australian Income Tax and GST regime
  • Prior experience working in a tax compliance / tax accounting function
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Accounting Standards
