As an Executive Manager you will play an integral role in improving and developing the maturity of Group Technology at a renowned Australian financial Services institution.
You will drive best practice whilst ensuring operational excellence across the division.

The Role:

  • To support the planning and execution of Group Technologies strategic priorities, operating model and business plan.
  • Develop and implement a risk strategy for Group Technology risk management, increasing the Technology Risk maturity and refinement of controls whilst educating the business on emerging risks.
  • You will lead the Group Technology responses on key risk initiatives whilst instilling a risk averse culture to the business and partners.
  • Adhering to Assurance methodologies, you will execute the risk management process and develop controls frameworks.
  • As the representative for Group Technology you will have oversight of the Technology engagements from and Internal and External Audit perspective.
  • Direct report to the Board, R&C committee, Technology Advisory Board and Technology Leadership team.
  • Drive profitability, adhere to budgetary requirements and create a model to instill sustainable value to the business.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience in a Leadership role within Operational Risk Management and/or Technology Risk.
  • Prior and current experience from a Big 4 bank or a Financial Services institution is essential.
  • Exposure to management roles in 1st or 2nd Line Risk are a necessity.
  • Knowledgeable in developing group wide compliance policies and frameworks within Technology Risk function.
  • Exposure to COBIT/ITIL and NIST is advantageous.
  • Provide a consultative approach whilst working closely with the business, key stakeholders and partners.
  • Provide guidance, mentor staff, lead from the front and coach teams.
  • Travel to New Zealand on a monthly basis.
