Responsibilities would include:

  • Part of the main corporate strategy team of the bank overseeing the entire group’s strategy (SEA coverage)  
  • Lead/Support the growing portfolio of projects within the team, take charge of managing projects, teams and streams of work
  • Lead engagements and work together with cross-functional business stakeholders / C-level to develop strategic plans, initiate important projects, deliver meaningful and high-impact strategic work
  • Develop a strategic point of view, formulation, execution and formalize strategy papers
  • Support transformation program delivery
  • Participate in key management committees
  • Involvement in strategic problem-solving, including developing and testing hypotheses, strategic analysis, developing conceptual frameworks, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify new growth opportunities and execute the recommendations
  • Maintain responsibility for deliverables, timelines
  • Evaluate key industry movements in the relevant industry space and emerging trends and distill relevant implications to the firm
  • Recruit, mentor, and train juniors  

Profile of ideal candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 8-15 years of work experience
  • Experience: Preference for either Management consulting experience (current &/or previous), have covered some projects in FIG/ Banking/ Financial services sector, OR worked in strategy teams in other financial institutions/ banks
  • Open to all sector experience/ all generalists as long as you’ve done some projects in financial services/ FIG before   
  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills, good judgement
  • Strong stakeholder management; works well across various teams in the bank
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including C-suite presentation skills.  Ability to articulate concepts and complex ideas in clear and impactful manner
  • Passionate about driving change. Having a curious mind to challenge status quo and provide innovative solutions and different perspectives 
  • Intelligent self-starter with resilience and resourcefulness

  • Strong work ethics and excellent attitude
