Responsibilities:
- Focus on origination of new investment opportunities in Asia Pacific
- Lead assessment and analysis of private credit transactions for recommendation to Investment Committee and the ongoing monitoring of portfolio
- Build strong relationships with financial sponsors, promoters, corporates, family-backed businesses, advisers, management teams and origination professionals in order to best position asset management funds for transactions
- Manage transaction documentation process in conjunction with the bank and external stakeholders to ensure that investments are completed in an efficient manner
- Oversee investments post completion including involvement in investments showing signs of stress or distress
- Help promote the APAC Private Credit capability to Sales teams, prepare generic or ad-hoc marketing documents for fundraising
Profile of ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 8-12 years of relevant work experience in private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance or similar with some exposure to mid-market lending and working alongside corporates, family-backed businesses, promoters and financial sponsors desirable
- Strong level of commercial acumen and awareness, including of economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues of business
- Good interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders
